o canada!

If you talked to me 1 month ago about the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, I would be going on how I didn’t want to see the world to come. I was kinda annoyed how a whole load of taxpayer’s money will be going into these games, how congested the roads would be, as well as, public transit, and what a shame that I have to work during my school’s “Olympic Break.”

But things have changed. I never really followed the Olympics before, but I guess because they are so close to home, I have gained more interest in them. And especially since Canada has finally won GOLD on home soil (Yay Alex Bilodeau!) and 8 other medals to date, I’ve gained the Olympic fever.

I’ve gone downtown to see all the Olympic hype 4 times now, which has been amazing. I’ve witnessed the sea of red and white floating around and how much pride we have in our athletes while cheering them on in the games.

I am definitely proud to be a Canadian. I’m happy Vancouver hosted these Olympics; it’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
